About Rebecca

Rebecca McGowan, born and raised in Dumbarton, Scotland, is a leading British Taekwondo athlete. Starting young, she made her mark by winning gold at the Dutch Open in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, she earned bronze at the Junior World Championships and secured victory at the 2018 European Championships. McGowan’s top achievements include winning gold at the 2021 European Taekwondo Championships and silver at the 2023 World Championships in the +73 kg category. Known for her perseverance, McGowan is a role model in the sport, consistently excelling on the global stage.
